This NSF program will make awards of up to $2 million to projects that provide students with access to computer science education at the preK-12 level. Deadline: February 12, 2025. -
American Graduate: Jobs Explained 2.0
With CPB funding, WNET opens the second round of American Jobs Explained. Ten television stations will be chosen to join this innovative program connecting young people to new career pathways through social media videos. Stations receive support in media production and fundraising, along with a $90,000 grant. Deadline: February 21, 2025. -
The American Revolution Initiative (PBS)
Up to $45,000 is available for station grants from PBS LearningMedia. Stations may seek funding to create classroom content for PBS LearningMedia, host in-person teacher learning events, or both. The target audience for content and activities created from the education grants are teachers of grades 3-12, especially those teaching U.S. history, civics and English language arts. Deadline: February 28, 2025. -
Challenge America
This NEA program is designed as an entry point to small organizations that extend the reach of the arts to underserved populations. $10,000 is available and requires a 1:1 match. Note that this program is meant for first-time NEA applicants. Deadline for grants.gov application: April 24, 2025. Deadline for NEA application: May 13, 2025. -
Cultural and Community Resilience (CCR)
New NEH grant supports preserving cultural knowledge in the face of climate change and/or the COVID-19 pandemic. Grants for oral history and other digital documentation of marginalized communities affected may be up to $150,000. We expect to see the next competition with applications in February 2025 and a deadline in May 2025. -
Archives Collaboratives
Up to $100,000 is available from the National Archives and Records Administration for collaborations of three or more entities, working together to make their collections more readily available to the public. Planning grants and implementation grants are available. Deadline: May 7, 2025 (Draft by February 18, 2025) -
Archival Projects
The National Archives' NHPRC will award up to $150,000 for digitizing historical records collections. Eligible historical records include documents, photographs, born-digital records and analog audio and moving images. There will be two competitions in 2025 with deadlines of May 7 and November 5, 2025. -
Publishing Historical Records in Collaborative Digital Editions
Up to $160,000 is available from the National Archives to publish online editions of historical records. Note that due to financial limitations, the program will only accept proposals from current or past grantees in 2025. There will be two deadlines in 2025, in May and November. -
Research and Development Grant
This NEH grant supports projects that address major challenges in preserving or providing access to humanities collections and resources. The next competition is expected to have a deadline of May 2025. -
Preservation and Access Education and Training
Up to $350,000 is available from NEH to train staff members of cultural institutions. Stations with experience in digitally preserving recorded sound and moving image collections may find a fit here. The next competition is expected to open February 20, 2025 with a deadline of May 20, 2025.
