WASHINGTON — April 25, 2018 — America's Public Television Stations (APTS) president and CEO Patrick Butler issued the following statement on the announced merger between PBS SoCal and KCET:
"America's Public Television Stations congratulate PBS SoCal and KCETLink on their merger, which will create an extraordinarily strong public television station for the people of the greater Los Angeles area, Orange County and the nation.
"Andy Russell is one of public television’s best leaders, and we are confident that he will guide the merged enterprise to new heights of programming and public service.
