WASHINGTON - September 30, 2016 - America's Public Television Stations (APTS) president and CEO Patrick Butler issued the following statement today on the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) draft plan for post-auction repacking:
"America's Public Television Stations appreciate the FCC's timely release of a draft plan for post-auction repacking. We look forward to reviewing the draft plan in detail and providing constructive comments to the Commission. We remain concerned that a 39-month deadline for completion of the repacking process is quite challenging, given the limited number of engineers, tower companies and other expert personnel required to make this transition, but we commend bureau chief Bill Lake and his colleagues for their thoughtful approach to a difficult set of issues."
